White tea buds.
GRAND CRU
Bulk bag 50 grams.
Our "Ya Bao" is a tea made only from the best part of the tea plant: the buds. It is harvested by hand in the very famous province of Yunnan, in China. This grand cru is picked from wild tea plants that are several hundred years old.
Our "Ya Bao" is a delicate and subtle tea. Lovers of "Pu Erh" will find what they are looking for, as it has forest notes, enveloped by a touch of spices and pear.
To ensure that this great vintage is prepared as beautifully as possible, let the buds infuse directly in the teapot, using paper filters or an infusion basket.
No tight little tea ball! We saw you!
The theine being concentrated in the tea buds, this white tea made only from buds is very theinous, despite its subtle taste and very pale liquor.
🌱 What is white tea?
White tea is yet another color of tea. It is a tea that has undergone minimal oxidation , much shorter than black tea. Its more expensive manufacturing makes it a tea often more expensive than its counterparts. White tea is the closest thing to the fresh leaf, it is neither "cooked" nor rolled, so it is the tea that best preserves its vitamins, for example. It has a very mild flavor, sweet for some vintages and its liquor is pale yellow, almost transparent.
🍵 How to prepare your white tea properly
There is no rule for infusions. The longer you leave it, the more pronounced its taste will be. However, we recommend using rather hot water (between 80 and 90°C) and an equally long infusion time (6 to 12 minutes).
But nothing prevents you from reducing or increasing the infusion time, or even the dosage, it's up to you to see according to your taste.
❄️ Cold infusion
Put 10 to 20g of tea in 1L of cold or room temperature water. Divide into two disposable tea bags Le Jardin de Mademoiselle. Iced tea is not an exact science: the colder the water and the larger the container, the slower the tea will infuse. Taste at 20 minutes and then every 5 minutes until the taste of your tea suits you perfectly. Keep for 3 days in the refrigerator.
