Mademoiselle’s Garden referenced in Gault&Millau

tea time Gault&Millau Gault Millau salon de thé

Great news for all lovers of teas and infusions from Jardin de Mademoiselle. The prestigious institution Gault & Millau was seduced by our tea room. It will appear in the next Ile-de-France guide and on their website, to our great pride.

Last October, we had the pleasant surprise of receiving a very special phone call. It was neither a customer who wanted to book a Tea time, nor one of our suppliers. No, it was "Gault&Millau"! We then learned that a critic from the famous gastronomic guide came to visit our tea room. Seduced by our concept, he offered us a listing in the Ile-de-France guide, to be published in 2023 [to be specified].

"This Gault&Millau listing is a great source of pride for all of us and is a reward for years of work," enthuses Aline Leroy, co-founder of Le Jardin de Mademoiselle. "The recognition from such an institution shows us that we have created from scratch a brand that is appreciated by customers, but also acclaimed by professionals in French gastronomy."

A short history of Gault & Millau

Gault & Millau was founded in 1972 by Henri Gault and Christian Millau, two journalists and food critics. This gastronomic guide rides the wave of the nouvelle cuisine movement. The critics have perpetuated the art of noting and sublimating the French gastronomic heritage. Just like its counterpart the Michelin Guide, Gault & Millau enjoys a great influence in Gastronomy. Its reviews have a significant impact on the number of people visiting a restaurant. In 2010, Gault&Millau became the second best-selling guide in France (70,000 copies), half as many as the Michelin Guide (139,000 copies).
